10 Children's Party Venues in London for a Spook-tacular Halloween

Costumes and pretend play, piles of candy, spooky crafts and all things gross and slimy — for kids, Halloween pretty much ticks all the boxes and then some. And what better way to celebrate the creepy occasion than by throwing an unforgettable themed party? 

Whether you've got children of your own and are looking to do all the planning yourself, or have been outsourced to oversee the event planning processes on behalf of the client, the first step is always finding a venue that works for your audience and your needs.

However, finding the right venue for a kids party is harder than one may think. With virtually hundreds of venues spanning across the city, choosing 'the one' is a time-consuming task— that's why we've done the research for you. 

 

 

Piccolo Playcentre is based in the family-friendly, leafy South-West London area of Chiswick. The venue hosts a super fun in-house soft play centre, a holiday club and events custom-designed themed parties as per your requests. The great thing about Piccolo Play Centre is that they happily provide a flexible friendly service. The venue has been nominated for Children's Best Party Supplier for 3 years, which says it all. 

 

 

A beautiful former cafe nestled near Peckham Rye Park in South East London, this wonderful venue can hold up to 50 people and is equipped with s a kitchen and children's play area. Home to many wonderful children's events over the years, Space at 61 will do everything to help keep your little ones totally delighted.

 

Located in the prime area of SW3, Beaufort House Chelsea is a child-friendly brasserie restaurant on the ground floor and a fantastic children's party venue on the upper floors. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this stylish venue, with room hire from £150 and then £15 per child for food & drink. The fantastic events team also recommend party organisers, entertainers, suppliers of balloons, party bags and everything else. 

 

My Kid Atelier is a 1,500 sqft space located on a quiet street ten minutes walk from the Fulham Broadway Underground Station. This vibrant, open plan studio is filled with a variety of toys, costumes, art activities and more to keep children active and excited from the moment they enter to when they leave. The venue is the perfect choice for baby parties as we have a large carpeted area, changing table, street level entrance and buggy parking, soft play and ball pool. They also provide high-quality, colorful and educational toys for babies and toddlers, designed to stimulate and amuse while helping to progress important fine motor and developmental skills.

To add to the super fun party ambiance, My Kid Atelier has an in-house bubble machine and use lots of disco/party lighting around the studio, as well as a professional sound system with microphones and a projector with a 2m screen.

 

5. 3 House Club

 

Situated minutes from St John's Wood Underground Station, this delightful space will feel like a party in your own home, where everyone is comfortable and at ease, greeted with a warm, welcome smile by the incredible staff. The venue has hosted everyone from little ones celebrating their 1st birthday to tweens busting loose at their first disco. Nothing is too big an ask: from simple, intimate get-togethers to splurge-worthy, all-out affairs, 3 House Club has got you covered.


6. All Star Lanes Bayswater

Older kids will love All Star lanes for its super-cool, Manhattan-inspired party vibe and, of course, the super fun bowling. With a capacity of up to 130 people, as well as in-house catering, it's the perfect venue if you want to keep a large crowd of kiddos entertained for a long period of time. 


7. Museum of Happiness



In the heart of Camden, you'll find the world's first Museum of Happiness. The main hall is decorated as an amazing indoor meadow that can be enjoyed year round, rain or shine! You can relax on our large astroturf lawn under natural light from a large pyramid skylight, complete with a beautiful coloured lantern installation. The space is fully equipped with AV and refreshment facilities. This is the perfect venue for those who are looking for something a bit different in London. The space is highly flexible and can cater to events of all sizes, offering a variety of chair and cushion seating layouts to choose from and space for up to 100 people. 

8. The Slate Cafe

Positioned in North London's Finchley, The Slate Cafe has two fabulous party rooms/venues to hire. Upstairs, The Slate Cafe has a large 45 sqare metre, bright and airy room with lots of natural light and lovely wood flooring. It can comfortably accommodate up to 25 adults or 30 children under 10 years. Plenty of space for entertainers and dancing! Downstairs, you can hire The Slate Cafe, which is ideal for small informal gatherings. Drinks, light snacks, sandwiches and homemade cakes can be bought from the cafe downstairs.


9. Pomona's

If you're after a great dry hire venue, you should consider Ponoma's, which is located in the heart of central London. The Gallery on the first floor is a spacious room ideal for your little ones to sit down, play around and enjoy themselves. There is a lovely, cosy library in the adjoining room for the adults to relax in and enjoy a coffee (or bubbly!) while the kids play. 

Hiring the Gallery and Library costs £250 on weekdays and £270 over the week-end for the two-hour window, with an additional charge of £100 for each extra hour. You'll have 30 minutes ‘setup’ time free of charge.


10. Cereal Killer Cafe

 

Located on Brick lane and offering seating for 60 and a fully licensed bar, Cereal Killer Cafe is a great option if you're looking for something cool and quirky.  They also offer a savoury food menu which includes kids' favorites like cornflake chicken, mac and cheese and more. The venue is available for part or full hire, on any evening (excluding Fridays nights) for a party the little ones will never forget!
